Maddy (funny, misfit, drama queen) is addicted to magazines, so she turns to them for help in times of crisis. Like when a new girl – glamorous Starr - comes to school and threatens to come between Maddy and her best friend Scott. She tries every top tip and helpful hint to get rid of Starr but things go horribly wrong.
Is Maddy really a jealousy junkie? Or can she finally apply her mag-hag knowledge to resolve her problems?
Jealousy Junkie follows Maddy’s tears and traumas with warmth and humour. The book is also attractively produced with witty magazine-style doodles.
Maddy's first book, Jealousy Junkie, written by Carrie Bright, will be released in the spring of 2007.
My name change was partly because no-one could pronounce it – typically Cherry Worm Anne instead of ‘Kerry Warm-an’.
Also W’s always end up hidden away at the bottom of book shelves and book lists!
So as a new character – Maddy – was born it was a good opportunity to be reborn as an author, too!
Carrie is obvious to pronounce on sight and similar to my real name so I’ll still answer to it.
Bright is a family name (on my mother’s side) and, conveniently, a B!
I'll tell you more about Maddy soon... keep checking back here or in my news section.
